Built in the eighteenth century and perfectly preserved until today, the Royal Palace was the official residence of the Spanish royal family until 1931. This does not mean that the Palace is in disuse because it remains a point of relevance in the agenda of the Crown as a stage of official receptions, signatures of agreements, etc.
Visiting the Royal Palace is visiting one of the most beautiful palaces in Europe, its Baroque classicist style of Italian court has made it one of the most visited buildings in the city of Madrid. At the same time, it implies entering one of the largest in the continent, with 135,000m2 and it has 3,418 rooms!
You can make your visit to the palace with a normal entrance without a guide, at your own pace. Or, with a guided tour. The tour consists of a visit to the main rooms such as the throne room, the gala banquet hall, the royal chapel or the parade ground. Places full of wonderful frescoes and works of art that are distributed in around 3,000 rooms.

The price includes access to the Royal Palace with regular entry without a guide, or entrance with guided tour in Spanish and English (simultaneously). Both modalities with priority access without queues.

In addition to admiring the Palace as an architectural marvel of baroque class style, the Royal Palace houses cultural treasures such as the four original Stradivarius violins and part of the Royal Collection (the rest is in the Prado Museum). This collection is very rich in genres such as schools and eras.
In the Paintings Gallery, you can find works by Caravaggio, Velázquez or Sorolla among many other artists. This Gallery is divided into different rooms where you can find musical instruments, rich embroidery and punctures dating from the seventeenth to the twentieth century.
In addition to the paintings, the Royal Palace has sculptures by artists such as Benlliure or Bernini.
Finally, you will find an exquisite furniture of the Royal Palace, a reflection of the different periods and styles that have been represented as decoration: neoclassical furniture, rococo, Elizabethan, goldsmiths, the main collection of tapestries in the world (highlighting the tapestries on cartons by Goya) and its watch collection, the largest in Spain and one of the largest in the world.
